# Framer, Webflow, Astro or WordPress: which template format should you buy?

> A plain comparison of the five formats we ship, and how to pick the one your team will actually keep updating.

Every Frontier template starts as one design and ships in several formats. The right one is less about features than about who will edit the site next month.

## Framer

A visual editor with hosting, a CMS and very good motion. Pick it if designers or marketers will edit the site and you want to publish without a developer. You get a remix link that copies the whole project into your account.

## Webflow

Also visual and hosted, with a more structured CMS and fine control over layout. Pick it if your team already knows it or you need complex CMS collections. You get a clone link.

## Astro

A modern static site framework. Pick it if developers own the site, you want it in your repository and you want to host it anywhere. You get the source project, with Tailwind as an option.

## WordPress

A block theme plus a small companion plugin for patterns and settings. Pick it if your company already runs on WordPress or needs its plugin ecosystem.

## HTML and the prompt pack

Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript is the most portable format: it runs on any host and is easy to hand to an AI coding tool. The prompt pack goes one step further: design tokens, components and section-by-section prompts so you can rebuild the template inside your own stack with Claude Code or Cursor.

## Still unsure?

Choose the platform the person who updates the site already uses. If you want to keep your options open, the Full Access includes every format of every template.
